The HAM+ for Android page explains how to add it to Android Auto, once.

ON YOUR WRIST

New in version 2.0: HAM+ on your Apple Watch. Pick a room or a talkgroup, tap “Talk”, and your voice goes out from the watch. Your credentials, your memories and your purchase come over on their own from HAM+ on your iPhone.

No hotspot or radio needed: HAM+ connects to the networks over the Internet, on Wi-Fi or cellular data, in Canada, the United States and around the world.
