MY JOURNEY

A passion that began with listening in 1984, continued through several radio services, and officially became VE2NIR in 2022.

MY RADIO STORY

A passion that became a callsign.

Radio brings together what I love: listening, understanding technology, experimenting with radio waves and connecting far beyond borders.

  1. The beginning

I discovered radio listening and began a passion that is still very much alive.

  2. On the 11-metre band

Active on the 11-metre band (C.B.) under the name Lewis.

  3. FRS and GMRS

Active on FRS (Family Radio Service) and GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service).

  4. The Amateur Radio exam

I took the amateur radio examination.

  5. The certificate

I obtained my Amateur Radio Operator Certificate.

  6. VE2NIR on the air

Exploring the HF, VHF, UHF bands and beyond.
